Help Me Choose My Next Photography Adventure for 2026

Many of my favorite images have started with a simple question: “Where should I go next?”
Photography has given me the opportunity to experience places, landscapes, wildlife, and moments I may never have seen otherwise. Some trips are planned around specific scenery or wildlife, while others are driven entirely by curiosity and the desire to experience something new through the lens of a camera.
Lately, I have been planning my next major photography trip for October 2026, and I keep going back and forth between three incredible possibilities: Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Peru.
Each destination offers something completely different, which is probably why making the decision has been so difficult.
Costa Rica pulls me in because of its wildlife and lush landscapes. The idea of photographing rainforests, waterfalls, tropical birds, and dramatic coastlines feels almost endless creatively. I can already imagine early mornings surrounded by fog, jungle sounds, and soft light filtering through the trees.
Ecuador feels equally exciting for different reasons. The diversity of landscapes, mountain regions, wildlife, and culture makes it incredibly appealing as a photography destination. Part of me is especially drawn to the possibility of seeing areas that feel untouched and visually different from anything I have photographed before.
Then there is Peru.
Peru feels like the most emotional choice somehow. Maybe it is the history, the mountains, the architecture, or simply the atmosphere people describe when they visit. The idea of photographing ancient landscapes, quiet villages, dramatic scenery, and moments of everyday life feels deeply inspiring to me as both an artist and storyteller.
The truth is, I do not travel simply to “take pictures.” I travel because photography allows me to slow down and truly experience a place. Some of the most meaningful images happen in the quiet moments between destinations — the changing light, unexpected wildlife encounters, conversations with strangers, or landscapes that make you stop walking for a second just to take it all in.
One of the things I love most about fine art photography is bringing pieces of those experiences back home and sharing them with others through prints and collections. Every trip changes the way I see the world creatively, and those experiences always find their way into the artwork eventually.
So now I need help deciding.
If you had the opportunity to choose between Costa Rica, Ecuador, or Peru for a photography adventure, which would you pick — and why?
I would genuinely love to hear your thoughts.
