I have always been a traveler at heart. In my younger days, weekends often meant throwing an overnight bag in the car, picking a direction, and driving until I found myself surrounded by things I had never seen before. Spontaneity was my compass, and I loved every moment of discovery.
Car rides have always been my favorite, especially in good company. They gave me the freedom to stop, explore, and soak in the history of small towns and cities along the way. Over the years, I’ve traveled to 28 U.S. states, each trip fueling my love for exploration.
But as time went on, I longed for more — destinations that required a plane or a boat. The challenge? I didn’t want to travel abroad alone. Group trips always fell through at the last minute, and I hesitated, waiting for the “right” moment or the “right” people.
That changed a few years ago when I nervously boarded a plane to Negril, Jamaica — alone. To my surprise, I had an incredible time. I met wonderful people (some who are still friends today), ate amazing food, danced to vibrant music, strolled beaches, and even got lost in the city. It was unforgettable, and I realized I didn’t need to wait for others to see the world.
Still, I let years pass without another international trip, letting doubt creep back in. But today… everything changed. I booked a flight to Africa.
I’ve dreamed of photographing wildlife on safari, and now that dream is becoming reality. The moment I clicked “confirm” on that flight, I felt exhilarated — a reminder that life is too short to wait on others to chase your dreams. To make it even sweeter, I’ll have a layover in Paris, France, where I can finally explore a city that has been on my list for years.
This is the start of something bigger — a renewed journey of courage, creativity, and discovery. I can’t wait to share the stories, photos, and emotions with you along the way.
Here’s to fearless adventures and new beginnings.
